- Broken wheat 0.75 cup
- Sago 0.25 cup
- Thick coconut milk (First milk) 1 cup
- Thin coconut milk (Second milk) 2 cup
- Jaggery 250 g
- Ghee 1 tablespoon
- Cashews 10 pieces
- Raisins 10 pieces
- Cardamom powder 0.5 teaspoon
- Dry ginger and cumin powder 0.5 teaspoon

Instructions
- Rinse the broken wheat thoroughly and soak in water for 30 minutes to soften.
- Combine the soaked wheat and sago in a pressure cooker. Cook until tender and well softened.
- Stir in the melted jaggery into the cooked wheat mixture until fully dissolved and combined.
- Add cardamom powder and a drizzle of ghee for a rich flavor.
- Pour in the second coconut milk and simmer, stirring constantly, until the payasam slightly thickens.
- Gently heat through with the first coconut milk. Avoid boiling after adding the first milk. Remove from heat.
- Mix in dry ginger and cumin powder, and garnish with ghee-fried cashews and raisins.
